Kingsley Ehizibue: Free agent Dutch-Nigerian right-back linked with Torino move

Dutch-Nigerian defender Kingsley Ehizibue, currently without a club after leaving Udinese, is being linked with a move to Serie A side Torino.

The 31-year-old right-back became a free agent on 1 July 2026 following the end of his spell in Udine, putting him in a position to join a new club without a transfer fee. Torino are understood to be assessing options at full-back and are weighing up a move for the experienced defender, whose market value was last estimated at €2m.

Ehizibue is no stranger to Italian football, having made 115 Serie A appearances for Udinese, adding four goals and two assists during his time there. Before moving to Italy in 2022, he played in the Bundesliga with 1. FC Koln, who signed him from PEC Zwolle in 2019 after he had established himself in the Eredivisie.

Born in Munich in May 1995 and standing at 1.89m, Ehizibue has built a reputation as a specialist right-back across three of Europe’s major leagues. His senior breakthrough came at PEC Zwolle, where he progressed from the youth teams into the first team and went on to feature regularly in the Dutch top flight.

Torino’s interest comes at a time when experienced, low-cost defensive reinforcements are in demand across Serie A, with free agents such as Ehizibue offering flexibility outside of transfer window fee constraints. For now, the defender remains unattached and free to negotiate with interested clubs as he considers the next step in a career that has already taken in extended spells in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy.
