Lesotho begins ticket sales for World Cup qualifier against Nigeria in Polokwane

By Wale Mustapha

The Lesotho Football Association (LFA) has commenced ticket sales for the Crocodiles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying Matchday Nine encounter against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

In a statement published on its official website, the LFA announced that tickets are now available at Computicket outlets across Lesotho and neighbouring South Africa.

The match is scheduled to take place on Friday at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa. Lesotho is hosting its “home” fixtures outside the country due to the unavailability of a FIFA-approved stadium.

While Coach Leslie Notsi’s side is no longer in contention for a place at the 2026 World Cup, the Crocodiles are expected to put up a spirited performance against Nigeria, who are still battling for qualification in Group C.

The reverse fixture between both teams ended in a 1–1 draw on Matchday One at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria.

The upcoming clash is expected to attract fans from both nations, with Lesotho aiming to restore pride and the Super Eagles under pressure to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
