Mabppe-linked actress Ester Exposito threatens legal action over ‘defamatory’ rumours

Spanish actress Ester Exposito has issued a strongly worded statement vowing to take legal action over what she calls “false and defamatory” rumours about her private life and her reported relationship with Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe.

The Elite actor, who has been repeatedly linked in recent months to the France forward, moved publicly to confront speculation that has appeared across social media and in sections of the press.

Spanish outlet Sport reported that Exposito posted a written statement on her social media accounts denying the accuracy of information being circulated about her, without specifying the exact content she was referring to.

Her message follows months of reports suggesting tension or a cooling-off in her supposed relationship with Mbappe, stories that have intensified since the World Cup.

“In recent months, and especially in recent days, headlines and false and defamatory information about me and my personal life have spread on social media, bearing no relation to reality or to who I am,” she wrote.

Exposito added: “These are ridiculous rumours that have been invented with the aim of distorting a story between two people and attacking my dignity. Not everything is allowed, and this time I find myself forced to put a stop to this and take legal action against those responsible.”

The 24-year-old believes the ongoing speculation about her private life is damaging her public image and undermining her reputation, and she urged followers not to accept everything they see online as fact, singling out content published on X in particular.

Exposito said she is prepared to pursue legal proceedings against anyone who shares defamatory material or helps spread rumours intended to harm her.

Although neither Exposito nor Mbappe has ever formally confirmed their relationship and have sought to keep any involvement away from the spotlight, stories of a possible crisis between the pair have persisted, especially in the aftermath of the World Cup.

Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid this summer, previously fuelled speculation when he posted a photo of himself with Exposito wearing a France national team shirt, before later deleting the image. The removal of that post triggered a fresh wave of conjecture over the nature and status of their relationship.

Other names drawn in

According to Hola magazine, Exposito’s statement may also relate to Mexican actor Alejandro Speitzer, whose name has been linked in gossip columns to several public figures.

In recent weeks, discussion around an alleged rift between Exposito and Mbappe has grown louder, with attention focusing on the period following the World Cup and the fact they have not been seen together at various public events.

Despite the volume of speculation, neither Mbappe nor Exposito has issued any comment directly confirming or denying reports about their relationship or any supposed problems between them.

Closing her statement, Exposito stressed that her priority is “protecting my image and my reputation”, insisting that freedom of expression cannot be used as a pretext to spread unfounded accusations or information without evidence.
