Remo Stars Appoint Olumide Ajibolade as New Head Coach

Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Remo Stars FC have announced the appointment of Olumide Ajibolade as the club’s new Head Coach, marking a new chapter built on continuity and excellence.

Ajibolade, one of the most respected coaches within the Remo Stars Sports Club structure, steps into the role after years of remarkable success in youth development and team management.

He joined the Remo Stars Academy in 2019 as the club’s U-17 Head Coach under the Remo Stars Sports Club project. Following the launch of Beyond Limits Football Academy in 2021, he was entrusted with leading the team and has since transformed it into one of Nigeria’s most successful football development programmes.

During his tenure, Beyond Limits dominated the TCC League, winning five titles in six seasons (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2025/26). The club also secured consecutive TCC Cup titles in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 campaigns, lifted the TCC Super Cup in 2025, and won the Ogun State FA Cup in both 2024 and 2026.

Ajibolade’s impact extended beyond academy football. He guided Beyond Limits to promotion from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the Nigeria National League (NNL) during the 2022/23 season before leading the club to another historic promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the 2023/24 campaign. That memorable season ended with Beyond Limits being crowned Nigeria National League champions in Enugu.

His success has also been felt on the international stage. Under his leadership, Beyond Limits won the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy in 2024 before claiming back-to-back Gothia Cup titles in Sweden in 2025 and 2026.

Widely recognised for his commitment to player development, Ajibolade has played a key role in nurturing several talented footballers who have progressed to professional careers across Europe and other parts of the world.

His appointment as Head Coach reflects Remo Stars’ commitment to promoting excellence from within and maintaining the club’s philosophy of rewarding outstanding performance across its football development structure.
