Malik Opoola: Nigerian winger joins Bisceglie on free transfer
Nigeria winger Malik Opoola has joined Bisceglie from Nocerina on a free transfer, giving the Serie D club a new attacking option on the right flank.
The 21-year-old has signed a contract with Bisceglie running until 30 June 2027. He completed the move on 4 August 2026 after spending the previous season with Nocerina, where he had arrived from Carrarese on a free transfer in July 2025.
Opoola is a right winger and has built his career in Italian football since leaving Valle Giovanili for Brindisi in August 2022. He subsequently moved to Carrarese on a free transfer in August 2023, before loan spells with Brindisi and Casarano gave him further senior experience.
His record in Serie D includes 73 appearances, 20 goals and five assists. He has also played in Serie C, the Coppa Serie D, the Viareggio Cup and the Serie D play-offs, with his overall record in the recorded competitions standing at 104 appearances and 29 goals.
The forward’s most productive Serie D campaign in the listed competitions came with 45 appearances and 13 goals in Serie D – H. He also scored seven times in 28 appearances in Serie D – G, the division in which Nocerina competed before his move to Bisceglie.
Opoola has also contributed in cup and tournament football, scoring twice in eight Coppa Serie D appearances, three times in five Viareggio Cup matches and once in a Serie D play-off appearance. Those figures underline a record that has included goals across league, cup and knockout competition.
The transfer continues the player’s path through Italy’s lower divisions, with Bisceglie becoming his latest club after Brindisi, Carrarese, Casarano and Nocerina. His market value is listed at €100,000, while his highest recorded value has been €150,000.
Bisceglie have secured Opoola’s services without a transfer fee, and the Nigerian attacker is contracted to the club until June 2027.
