Mittelstadt warns of ‘very dangerous’ Osimhen threat before Galatasaray clash

Stuttgart defender Maximilian Mittelstadt has described Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as “perhaps one of the best strikers in the world” ahead of their Champions League meeting.
The Nigeria international has scored 10 goals in 10 appearances in all competitions this season, including against former club Lille in the Champions League.
Osimhen received treatment on the pitch during Galatasaray’s most recent Super Lig match, but the Super Eagles forward is expected to start against Stuttgart.
Mittelstadt said Stuttgart had prepared for the threat posed by Galatasaray’s attack, while also acknowledging the Turkish club’s strength in defence.
“We prepared for Galatasaray. We know they are very good defensively but also have exceptional players in attack, like Osimhen, who is very dangerous,” Mittelstadt told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
“He has shown over the last few years that he is perhaps one of the best strikers in the world.
“Galatasaray have not only him in attack but have brought in many good players, including international stars, and we also have good players in defence.
“We know that it will demand everything from us but I know we will go into the game well prepared.”
Osimhen has scored eight goals for Galatasaray in the Champions League and is within two goals of becoming the club’s joint second-highest scorer in the competition, alongside Burak Yılmaz, who has 10.
