Monza bring in Nigeria midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro on season-long loan
Nigeria midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has joined Monza from Inter on loan, completing a move that will keep him at the Serie A club until 30 June 2027.
The 21-year-old central midfielder moves to Monza after returning to Inter from a loan spell at Pisa, which ended on 30 June 2026. His arrival gives Monza another option in midfield, with Akinsanmiro able to operate centrally and naturally favouring his right foot.
Akinsanmiro made 35 Serie B appearances for Pisa, scoring once and providing one assist. He also has experience of Serie A, having played 25 matches in the competition and registered one assist.
Before his time at Pisa, Akinsanmiro spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Sampdoria. He made four appearances in the Italy Cup during that campaign and returned to Inter at the end of the season.
The Lagos-born player joined Inter from Nigerian club Remo Stars in January 2023, moving initially into the Italian side’s under-19 set-up. He subsequently progressed into Inter’s senior structure and has spent much of his development in Italian football.
Akinsanmiro has also recorded 37 appearances in Primavera 1, scoring six goals and supplying five assists. His earlier career included four appearances for Remo Stars in the Nigerian Professional Football League before his move to Italy.
The midfielder was part of Inter squads that won the Italian Cup in the 2022-23 season and the Italian championship in 2023-24. He joins Monza with a listed market value of €7m, the highest figure recorded during his career.
Monza’s move is Akinsanmiro’s latest temporary switch after previous loans with Sampdoria and Pisa. The transfer history also records his return to Inter from Pisa on 30 June before he moved to Monza on 1 August 2026.
Akinsanmiro has signed for Monza on loan from Inter until 30 June 2027.
