NFF scribe hails Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade after Atletico Madrid award

Dr. Mohammad Sanusi, the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has expressed admiration and praise for Rasheedat Ajibade following her outstanding achievements in club football this year, particularly with Atletico Madrid.

Ajibade, who captains the Super Falcons, played a pivotal role in Atletico Madrid’s success in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Her decisive goal in the final game of the season secured the championship for Atletico Madrid, underscoring her leadership and prowess on the field.

Sanusi hailed Ajibade as an exemplar of humility and a mentor to aspiring female footballers, emphasizing her dedication, discipline, and patriotism which have contributed to the success of the Super Falcons.

“Rasheedat has always been a role model who epitomizes what is expected of a star athlete in any field. She has shown exemplary discipline and dedication, carrying the Super Falcons with a sense of patriotism and ambition,” Sanusi remarked, as reported by Complete Sports.

He also reckoned with Ajibade’s recognition as the best player at Atletico Madrid for the season, a testament to her exceptional performance and leadership qualities.

Sanusi expressed confidence that this achievement will inspire her to lead the Super Falcons to victory at the upcoming Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France.

Ajibade’s impressive season with Atletico Madrid saw her score ten goals and provide eight assists, showcasing her significant impact and contribution to the team’s success.
