Nigeria and Nottingham Forest mark Ola Aina’s 30th birthday

Nigeria and Nottingham Forest have celebrated Ola Aina’s 30th birthday with tributes to the defender, who reached the milestone on Thursday.

Aina was born in London to Nigerian parents and developed through Chelsea’s academy before gaining experience on loan at Hull City and Torino.

He joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer in 2023 and has since extended his contract with the Premier League club until 2028.

Forest marked the occasion with the message: “Happy 30th birthday, Ola!”

Nigeria’s Super Eagles referred to Aina as “Mr Lulu”, using green heart emojis to recognise a player who has won nearly 50 caps since making his international debut in 2017.

Supporters also shared graphics showing Aina in Forest red and Nigeria’s Super Eagles colours. They highlighted his important contributions for the club, including his goal against Aston Villa and his role in helping Forest secure European football and finish top of the table last season.
