Nigeria set to touch down in Abuja for final preparations

By Dayo Awoniyi

Nigeria’s U20 men’s national team are set to conclude their preparations for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Abuja, marking the final phase of their camp ahead of the continental tournament.

After beginning their training camp in Katsina early last month, coach Aliyu Zubairu’s side will relocate to Abuja next week for the final stage of their preparations.

The Flying Eagles are intensifying their efforts as they gear up for a challenging group stage in Group B, where they will face hosts Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa.

As seven-time African champions, the Flying Eagles are determined to make a strong impact, especially with a spot in the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile up for grabs for the semi-finalists.

The age-grade side is focused on securing qualification for the global tournament while aiming to showcase their talents on the continental stage.

With the tournament just around the corner, the final phase of their preparations in Abuja will be crucial as they work to refine their strategies and solidify their squad ahead of the highly competitive competition.
