NPFL: Gbenga Ogunbote rues Shooting Stars’ costly mistake against Abia Warriors

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has revealed that costly mistakes led his side to a defeat against Abia Warriors in Umuahia.

3SC saw their opener canceled with two goals from their host to mark their fifth loss in 14 matches.

The experienced tactician said 3SC couldn’t manage the lead despite taking the lead in the first half amidst chances of their own, while assuring that their mistakes will be worked on to avoid future occurrences.

“We were unable to manage the lead even though we conceded the first goal, we had the opportunity. All we need to do is to take the positives,” Ogunbote told the Press.

“The positives is left for me and the players. We have seen the game. It has been won and lost. We still have some things to discuss with our players so that such mistakes are not committed in the next game.”

Shooting Stars sit on the ninth position on the NPFL table with 19 points from 14 matches.
