NPFL: Rangers victory against Sporting Lagos excites Alli Suleiman

Rangers International coach, Alli Suleiman is excited with the important win against Sporting Lagos in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter on Sunday.

The Flying Antelopes handed the Lagosians their fifth defeat of the season with a 2-0 win.

Suleman classified the game as a difficult encounter and the win was a response to get better from their previous negative result in four matches, stressing that the win will motivate the players to do better in their next outing.

“It was a good game against a strong side but we wanted it more and got the result we deserved and worked for,” Suleiman told the Press.

“We understood that we have not done well in our last four matches and the boys upped their game for the result that we are celebrating.

“The importance of this win is that it has raised the morale of the players as we prepare for our next match which is against Enyimba in Aba. We thank God for the victory.”

The Flying Antelopes are on the tenth position in the NPFL log with 18 points from 13 matches as they gear up for their midweek tie again Enyimba International on December 20 in Aba.
