Pedro honoured at Spotify Camp Nou as Barcelona collect three La Liga awards

Pedro Rodriguez was given a warm farewell by Barcelona supporters before their La Liga meeting with Getafe at Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday.
The former Barcelona forward performed the honorary kick-off before the eighth-round fixture, then received a tribute from the club and its fans on the pitch.
Pedro, who recently announced his retirement, had already been honoured at a farewell ceremony on Friday. Former team-mates Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez and Sergio Busquets attended the event, along with Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco.
The 37-year-old expressed his gratitude for the recognition and said saying goodbye to the club, which he had regarded as home for many years, was the best possible ending to his career.
His appearance at the match extended the celebrations for one of the most notable players in Barcelona’s modern history. FC Barcelona also posted a message on social media, saying: “Spotify Camp Nou honours you as you deserve, Pedro. You are and always will be a Barca legend.”
Pedro’s tribute was one of the main moments before kick-off, during a period that also featured the presentation of La Liga’s individual awards for September.
A number of Barcelona representatives collected the prizes just minutes before the match began. Head coach Hansi Flick was named manager of the month, while Raphinha received the award for player of the month.
Joao Cancelo completed the club’s haul after being recognised for the best goal of the month.
The three awards provided another significant moment for Barcelona on a day dominated by the continued farewell to Pedro, whose service to the club was celebrated both at Friday’s ceremony and in front of the Spotify Camp Nou crowd.
