Rafiu Durosinmi: Genk agree record €10.5m deal with Pisa for Super Eagles striker

KRC Genk have agreed a landmark €10.5m deal with Italian club Pisa for Nigeria forward Rafiu Durosinmi, in what is set to become the most expensive sale in the Tuscan side’s history.

The Belgian Pro League club have struck an agreement that will see Pisa receive €10.5m plus performance-related add-ons, while also retaining a 10% sell-on clause on any future transfer, according to leading Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

If completed as structured, the transfer will eclipse Pisa’s previous record departure, when Lorenzo Lucca joined Udinese in 2024.

Record-breaking move for Pisa

Pisa, who compete in Italy’s league system, have turned a swift profit on Durosinmi, who only arrived at the club in January from Czech side Viktoria Plzen.

The 23-year-old’s proposed switch to Genk underlines both his rising profile and the increased willingness of Belgian sides to invest heavily in emerging attacking talent from abroad.

The structure of the agreement – a substantial guaranteed fee, further bonuses and a sell-on percentage – reflects Pisa’s belief in Durosinmi’s long-term value on the European market.

Short spell in Italy

Durosinmi’s stay in Italy has been brief but significant. Signed in the winter transfer window, he made 12 Serie A appearances for Pisa, registering one goal and one assist for the Black and Blues.
