Rumour Mills: Victor Osimhen’s brother hints at possible Galatasaray stay

The future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen may be leaning toward a return to Turkey, according to comments made by his elder brother following the end of the 2024/25 season.
Osimhen wrapped up a successful loan spell with Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray on Friday, scoring 37 goals in all competitions and playing a key role in the club’s domestic double-winning campaign.
While speculation continues to swirl around the Napoli-owned forward — who has drawn interest from clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia — his elder brother, Patrick Andrew Osimhen, has offered a hint about where the 26-year-old might land next.
Speaking to Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi via Beyaz Futbol pundit Agir, Patrick suggested that Victor could extend his stay in Turkey.
“I spoke to Osimhen’s older brother Patrick,” Agir revealed.
“I asked, ‘Which team do you think Osimhen will go to?’ He laughed and said, ‘I think he will stay here.’ I asked, ‘Are you joking?’ He replied, ‘He loves it here.’”
Galatasaray are reportedly keen to secure Osimhen on a permanent deal following his standout season, during which he became a fan favourite and one of the most dominant forwards in Turkish football.
While no official decision has been announced, the comments from Osimhen’s brother have fueled speculation that the Super Eagles star could return to Istanbul for another season — or even sign permanently.
A final decision is expected in the coming weeks as Napoli prepare to offload the striker in what could be one of the summer’s biggest transfer moves.
