Salisu Anuolwapo: Former Nigeria junior international joins ASFAR FC

Nigeria’s Salisu Anuolwapo has joined former African champions, ASFAR FC from Morocco.

The former Nigeria junior international was unveiled alongside two other players on Friday.

She joined Cuta Vidalia Daniel and Nke Nke Julie Nina is being unveiled by the Moroccan champions on Friday.

Salisu played for DreamStar FC Ladies from where she moved to Bayelsa Queens.

At Bayelsa Queens, she won the 2021/2022 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title.

Afterwards, she moves to BIIK Kazygurt in Kazakhstan and also played in Israel before returning to Bayelsa Queens from where she now competed a switch to the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League winners.

The move marks a huge boost for the youngster career based on the pedigree of the Moroccan side.

ASFAR FC are perennial league winners in Morocco and has featured in all four editions of the CAF Women’s Champions League alongside Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies with podium finish on every occasions.

At the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League, the team won a bronze medal before winning the 2022 edition.

A bronze and silver medal followed in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
