Shooting Stars’ Lucky Emmanuel urges teammates to ‘fight for the badge’ against Barau FC

Shooting Stars forward Lucky Emmanuel has called on his team-mates to respond to the club’s difficult run of form and give their supporters a performance to restore confidence.

The Oluyole Warriors have come under increasing pressure from fans after winning only two of their past six Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matches.

Their next opportunity to change that record comes on Sunday, when they face Barau FC in a fixture Shooting Stars hope will provide a turning point in their campaign.

Emmanuel acknowledged the frustration caused by the team’s recent results and said the players understood the need to correct the mistakes that had contributed to the disappointing spell.

“I want to assure the fans that the team will do everything to maintain consistent form in the NPFL,” Emmanuel said.

“The players are determined to fight for the badge and secure a positive result this weekend.”

The forward’s message is intended to reassure Shooting Stars’ passionate supporters as the Ibadan-based club seeks to regain momentum and improve its position through stronger performances in its upcoming matches.
