Suliat Abideen bags brace in Fomget GSK big win over Bornova

Nigeria’s Suliat Abideen scored two goals to help Turkish women’s Super Lig side, Fomget GSK to a 12-1 win against Bornova on Sunday.

Oriana Yoselyn Altuve scored the opening goal in the 16th minute before the host equalized in the 24th minute.

Abigail Kim restored their lead two minutes later while Olha Ovdiychuk made it 3-1 in the 31st minute.

Abideen increased her side’s lead to 4-1 in the 61st minute of play and completed her brace in the 72nd minute.

Ovdiychuk, Yuliia Schevchuk, Ebru Sahin, Sini Laaksonen, and Kim (brace) completed the rout for the travelers.

Abideen, who captained Edo Queens to the 2023/24 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title and West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Women’s Champions League triumph, has scored six goals forForgett GSK.

Fomget GSK top the log with 67 points after 25 games and are tied at the summit alongside Feberbahce with the same points.

They will conclude the season against Galatasaray on May 4 and a win can seal the league title for Abideen and her side on her debut season.
