By Saheed Afolabi
Enyimba International head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju has appreciated the club over his promotion to head the technical crew.
The former Vandrezzer gaffer was an assistant to Finidi George at the club before the erstwhile Super Eagles coach departure from the People’s Elephants.
The manager fondly called Yema, said he never planned to be Enyimba head coach on his arrival in 2022, while expressing gratitude to Nwankwo Kanu led management for rewarding his commitment and loyalty with the confidence reposed in him to lead the People’s Elephant.
“My story looks like David’s. While I am always busy serving and working my socks off on the field, God has His own plan for me on the throne,” Yemi posted on his Facebook handle.
” Whatever He gives, He watches over and preserves, thanks to the Enyimba management.
“Led by a legend and a thorough good man Kanu Nwankwo for the trust and appreciation of my commitments, faithfulness and loyalty to the club since I joined to work as assistant to my big bro for life Finidi George in September 2022, who showed so much trust in me all the while he was busy with the Super Eagles.
“Thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. Now, let Mighty One in battle takes the lead.”
Yemi will take charge of Enyimba when they begin their NPFL challenge next season.
