Fabio Capello foresees Napoli’s struggle without Victor Osimhen

Former Juventus coach and Serie A winner, Fabio Capello, has expressed concerns about Napoli’s ability to replace Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen if he departs the club.

Osimhen, who has been a key figure for Napoli, has been linked with a move away from the Diego Maradona Stadium, despite signing a new contract with the Partenopei.

Several top clubs, including PSG, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich, have shown interest in acquiring the former Lille frontman.

Capello, who won five Serie A titles with AC Milan and AS Roma, emphasized the challenge Napoli would face in finding a suitable replacement for Osimhen.

“How do you replace Osimhen next year? Million-dollar question, there are no players around to replace Osimhen. You would have to have a crystal ball to find him,” Capello remarked in an interview with II Martino.

Osimhen played a pivotal role last season, scoring 26 goals in 32 games to help Napoli secure the Scudetto for the first time in over three decades. In the current season, he has already netted 11 times in 17 league appearances.
