By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward, Vivian Ikechukwu sealed victory for Turkish women’s top-flight side, Besiktas as she helped her team to a 2-0 victory against Eregli.

It took the first ten minutes of the game before the visitors found the breakthrough.

Donjeta Halilaj broke the deadlock for Besiktas in the 10th minute of play.

Afterward, the game was a keenly contested one as both sides tried to either equalise or double their lead. It was the visitors that got their wish with the second goal.

In the 81st minute, Ikechukwu put the ball into the back of the net to seal victory for her club.

The goal was the former Rivers Angels player’s sixth of the season for Besiktas in the league.

Besiktas occupy the fifth position on the table with 56 points.

They will end their league campaign against 1207 Antalyaspor on May 5, 2024.
