Macleans Chinonyerem nets hat trick to lift Al Shabab to big win over Eastern Flames

Nigeria forward Macleans Chinonyerem scored three goals, her first hat trick in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, as her team, Al Shabab, thrashed Eastern Flame 6-0.

Al Bandari Mobarak started the goal rout in the third minute of action.

Chinonyerem scored two goals in the 36th and additional minutes of the first half to give her team a three-goal lead at halftime.

She completed her hat trick six minutes into the second half.

Goals from Lulu Al-Jawini and Lana Feras complete the goals spree for the Al Shabab.

The former Leczna, Stomilanki, and Lokomotiv Moscow player is gradually acclimatizing to life in Saudi Arabia during her first season in the Asian country.

With the victory, Al Shabab moved to the third position on the league table with 12 points after six games.

The results of other games from round six action will have a say on their league position at the end of the weekend’s matchday.
