Fabio Capello faults Samuel Chukwueze for AC Milan’s struggles

Former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello has shared his thoughts on Samuel Chukwueze’s role in AC Milan’s ongoing struggles this season.

The Nigerian winger joined the Serie A giants from Villarreal last year but has yet to live up to expectations, with his performances underwhelming.

Despite his impressive stats at Villarreal—where he scored 37 goals and provided 31 assists in 207 appearances—Chukwueze has struggled to make a significant impact at Milan, registering just six goals and four assists in 54 appearances.

AC Milan’s current position in Serie A, sitting eighth with only 26 points from 16 games, has been disappointing, and Capello believes that Chukwueze’s failure to find his best form is one of the key reasons for the club’s lack of success.

Capello pointed out that a dynamic attacking winger, capable of making a difference, was essential for Milan.

“In the past, Milan has always pushed more to the left and it would have been useful to balance with a similar player on the right,” Capello said, as reported by Milan.it.

“Unfortunately, Chukwueze has never really clicked, and there is no alternative with similar characteristics,” he added, highlighting the lack of a balanced attacking threat on the right side.

This critique adds to the growing pressure on Chukwueze as Milan’s struggles continue.
