Gift Orban aims to fire Hoffenheim to Bundesliga safety

By Dayo Awoniyi

Nigerian forward Gift Emmanuel Orban has expressed his commitment to helping Hoffenheim retain their Bundesliga status, following a promising start to life at the club.

Orban, who joined from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon during the winter transfer window, has already made his presence felt with key goal contributions despite limited minutes on the pitch.

With Hoffenheim currently battling to avoid relegation, the 21-year-old striker is focused on increasing his goal tally and playing a decisive role in the club’s survival bid.

“Hoffenheim is a good club, but in a tough spot right now,” Orban told the club’s official website.
“Many clubs approached me in the winter, but the management here showed me great respect and convinced me to join.”

Orban also underlined his personal mission heading into the final stretch of the season.

“I want to score more goals and work hard to make sure we remain in the league,” he said.

Hoffenheim, who have struggled with consistency this season, will be relying on Orban’s attacking instincts as they look to climb out of the bottom half of the table and secure their Bundesliga future.

The Nigerian’s blend of pace, finishing ability, and confidence could prove vital in the coming weeks as the relegation battle intensifies.
