Mathew Gbomadu: Nigerian striker joins Dinamo Tbilisi from Estrela Amadora on permanent deal

Dinamo Tbilisi have signed Nigeria forward Mathew Gbomadu from Portuguese side Estrela Amadora on a permanent transfer. The 21-year-old centre-forward has agreed a deal with the Georgian champions running until 30 June 2027.

Gbomadu, a left-footed striker who stands at 1.81m, moves to the Erovnuli Liga after a stint in Portugal’s top flight with Estrela Amadora. His switch comes with his market value currently rated at around €200,000.

Before heading to Portugal in February 2026, Gbomadu spent two highly productive seasons in Armenia with Ararat-Armenia. He first joined the Yerevan club from FDC Vista in the summer of 2023 and had a loan spell at FC Van during the 2023-24 campaign, a move that was later made permanent for the remainder of that season.

During his time in Armenia, Gbomadu collected two major honours. He was part of the Ararat-Armenia side that won the Armenian Cup in 2023-24 and then helped the club secure the Armenian league title in the 2025-26 season.

Across league, cup and European qualifying competitions, Gbomadu has already accumulated more than 80 senior appearances, with the bulk of his minutes and goal contributions coming in domestic league action. His experience also includes outings in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying ties and national cup competitions.

Gbomadu, who will wear the number 17 shirt at Dinamo Tbilisi, now begins a new chapter in Georgia after completing his move from Estrela Amadora.
