Nwabali Marks Chippa United Return with Clean Sheet in Pre-Season Victory

Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali made an impressive return to action as Chippa United defeated Ravens 1-0 in a pre-season friendly.

The Super Eagles save hands was named in the starting lineup and produced a composed display in goal, keeping a clean sheet as Chippa United continued preparations for the 2026/27 season.

The match marked Nwabali’s first appearance for the club in five months, providing a timely confidence boost ahead of the new campaign.

Chippa United had officially announced the shot-stopper’s return on July 13, 2026, with a statement shared on the club’s official Facebook page welcoming him back to the squad.

Nwabali’s clean sheet will be a major positive for both Chippa United and the Super Eagles, with the experienced goalkeeper expected to play a vital role for club and country throughout the upcoming season.
