Osimhen helps Galatasaray secure Champions League win over Stuttgart

Victor Osimhen played the full match as Galatasaray beat Stuttgart 2-0 at RAMS Park to claim their second Champions League group-stage victory of the season.

The Turkish champions followed up their previous away success against French side Lille with another win on Tuesday night, maintaining their strong start to the campaign.

Osimhen completed all 90 minutes in the matchday-four fixture and produced an impressive display for the Yellow and Reds. The 27-year-old has now scored once in three Champions League appearances for Galatasaray this season.

Aleksey Batrakov provided the decisive contribution for the hosts, scoring both goals in a rapid first-half spell.

He broke the deadlock in the 12th minute before adding a second just three minutes later, giving Galatasaray a two-goal advantage that they preserved until the final whistle.

The result represents Galatasaray’s second win in the Champions League group stage, following their victory away to Lille in their previous outing. Osimhen’s involvement throughout the match also underlined his importance to Okan Buruk’s side as they continue their European campaign.

Galatasaray’s next Champions League assignment will come at home against Aston Villa on Tuesday, November 24.
