Paris Saint-Germain overwhelm Villarreal 6-0 as David Boly scores first Champions League goal

Paris Saint-Germain produced a ruthless display against Villarreal, scoring four times in a 17-minute spell before adding two more goals after half-time to secure a 6-0 victory.

Joao Neves opened the scoring in the ninth minute, reacting quickest after a corner had rebounded to him inside the penalty area.

Paris Saint-Germain doubled their advantage three minutes later after a mistake by Villarreal goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi. Maghnes Akliouche collected the loose ball and laid it off for Desire Doue, who finished into the net.

The visitors added a third in the 13th minute when Senny Mayulu followed up after Villarreal’s defence had blocked Neves’ initial attempt.

Fabian Ruiz completed Paris Saint-Germain’s remarkable first-half burst four minutes later. He pounced on another rebound inside the area after Achraf Hakimi’s effort had been stopped.

Villarreal struggled to create a response, with their best opening arriving in added time at the end of the first half. Ayoze Perez’s shot was saved by Matvei Safonov, giving the home side their first effort on target.

Villarreal introduced Sergi Cardona for Nicolas Pepe at the start of the second half, but Paris Saint-Germain continued to threaten. Ruiz scored his second goal of the match and his side’s fifth in the 50th minute after receiving a pass from Vitinha.

The midfielder moved past Renato Veiga before firing the ball through Gulacsi’s legs.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique made a series of changes as the match progressed. Mika Godts and Ferran Torres came on in the 60th minute, while Lucas Beraldo, Quentin Ndjantou and David Boly were introduced 14 minutes later.

Boly needed only four minutes to make an impact, scoring Paris Saint-Germain’s sixth goal in the 78th minute. The youngster collected Neves’ pass, drove into the penalty area and shot from a tight angle. The ball struck Renato Veiga before entering the net, giving Boly his first Champions League goal.

The match also featured several yellow cards. Santi Comesana, Santiago Mourino, Sergi Cardona, Alberto Moleiro and Quentin Ndjantou were all booked.

Villarreal made their final substitution in the 79th minute, with Pau Navarro replacing Alex Freeman, but the closing stages followed the same pattern as Paris Saint-Germain completed a comprehensive victory.

Paris Saint-Germain are scheduled to face Troyes in Ligue 1 on 07 November 2026. Villarreal are due to play Getafe in La Liga on 08 November 2026.
