Nigeria international, Emmanuel Dennis has revealed behind the no tattoo policy.
Dennis joined Forest from Watford last summer for a “fee in the region of £15 million” as part of the club’s influx of signings following their promotion to the Premier League.
However, the move has not worked out for the 25-year-old at the City Ground so far as he struggled to nail down a starting spot in Steve Cooper’s team, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 35 games for the Hornets after he arrived from Club Brugge in the 2021/22 season.
The Nigerian forward scored just two goals and registered three assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Tricky Trees last season, with many of his minutes coming from the bench.
While enjoying his summer break, the Adamawa native recently hosted a brief Q&A session on his Instagram page, allowing his fans to ask him questions.
One IG user asked, “Why don’t you have tats in ya boy?”
“Cause I got too much scars on my body, I don’t want the ink to cover them up. The scars remind me of a lot,” he replied.
Dennis joined several athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo and many others worldwide who do not have ink on their bodies, and the Nigerian man has recently opened up on why he will not be getting one.
Tattoos are a trending fashion in football and other sports globally, with several top sports personalities getting inked up and showing off on their social media pages. The 25-year-old was asked by a curious supporter why he does not have his body inked like his fellow athletes.
