Abdulrahman Taiwo: Nigerian striker ends debut Super Liga season with hat-trick

Sensational Nigerian striker, Abdulrahman Taiwo signed off his first season in Slovakia top division with a hat trick helping Spartak Trnava to a commanding 4-2 win over MSK Zilina on Saturday.
The 24 year old forward who joined Trnava from Danish side Sønderjyske last summer took his season’s goal tally to 14 in all competitions.
Taiwo had earlier helped the capital club secured the Slovakian Cup thereby confirmed for European football next season.
It was Zilina who took a shocking lead with just 12 minutes into the match when Dàvid Duriš poke home from close range.
Filip Twardzik level the scoreline for the hosts twelve minutes later with a brilliant pass from Kelvin Ofori.
Taiwo gave Trnava the lead for the first time in the game before the break as get to the end of a through pass from Samuel Štefanik.
The young Nigerian striker got his second of the night in the 56th minutes with a sublime finish making the close to full capacity stadium chant his name.
Ghanaian midfielder, Henry Addo reduced the deficit for Zilina with twelve minutes to end the game before Abdulrahman Taiwo completed his hat trick in the 85th minutes sealing a perfect night for himself and the Spartak Trnava.
Trnava have however ended the season third on the log with 52 points from 32 games and will be participating in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season.
