Anam Imo bags brace as Pitea silence Kalmar in Swedish Damallsvenskan

Nigeria forward, Anam Imo put up a heroic performance on Sunday as she scored two goals to lead Swedish Dammalsvenskan side, Pitea to a 2-0 win at Kalmar.
IFK Kalmar has lost its previous five games and seats bottom of the table ahead of Sunday’s game.
On the other hand, Pitea’s impressive run of five wins out of the last five games sees the team go to the top of the log.
Imo scored the first goal of the encounter in the 17th minute to give her side a halftime lead.
She doubled the lead for the league leaders in the 63rd minute from the penalty spot.
The two goals increased her tally to eight after nine league games this season.
After seeing 77 minutes of action, Imo was replaced by Hanna Andersson.
Her compatriot, Faith Michael played the full 90 minutes for Pitea as the team maintained its leadership position on the log.
After nine games, Pitea surprisingly tops the table with 23 points, a point ahead of BK Hacken.
The league leaders will next face second-placed BK Hacken in the top-of-the-table clash on Friday, May 26.
