Al-Ittihad arrange Al-Wehda friendly ahead of Al-Hilal Clasico

Al-Ittihad will prepare for their Saudi Clasico against Al-Hilal with a friendly against Saudi First Division League club Al-Wehda.

The match will be played next Saturday at Al-Ittihad’s stadium in Jeddah, one week before the league meeting with Al-Hilal.

Al-Ittihad will visit Al-Hilal on 10 October at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh in the headline fixture of matchweek eight of the Roshn Saudi League.

The club confirmed the friendly on 1 October, saying: “The first football team will play a friendly against Al-Wehda as part of preparations for upcoming commitments.”

Al-Ittihad go into the Clasico aiming to claim top spot in the Saudi league. They are second in the table with 17 points, one behind leaders Al-Hilal.

The Jeddah club are the only team yet to lose in the current Roshn Saudi League season. Al-Hilal, by contrast, have suffered one defeat, losing 2-0 to NEOM.
