Former Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge has pointed out Nigerian striker Victor Boniface and one other African player as Premier League potentials.
The 34-year-old who now works as a pundit was on duty in a conversation with another former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher.
Sturridge was asked to name strikers in other Europe’s top-five leagues that the English top-flight league should keep an eye on, and he mentioned two African Bundesliga stars.
“Guirassy, who is second in goalscoring charts in Germany, and Boniface, who’s at Leverkusen,” he said.
Boniface who has been nominated for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for the third consecutive time has 12 goal contributions to help his Bayer Leverkusen side sit top of the table.
Meanwhile, Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy was the top-scoring player in the Bundesliga —with 14 goals in only eight appearances for Stuttgart this season— before Harry Kane’s hat-trick this weekend.
