Doma United sign veteran goalkeeper Ibrahim Pius from Rivers United

Doma United FC have signed 37-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper Ibrahim Pius from Rivers United FC on a free transfer as the Gombe-based club continues to prepare for the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Pius has completed his move and agreed a one-year contract with Doma United. The deal will keep him at the club until 2027, giving the side an experienced option in goal ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL campaign.

The goalkeeper arrives with considerable experience and is expected to strengthen Doma United’s goalkeeping department. His presence is also likely to provide leadership and greater stability as the club builds its squad for the forthcoming season.

The transfer represents another important addition for Doma United during their preparations for the new campaign. The club have brought in Pius from Rivers United without a transfer fee, securing the services of a veteran goalkeeper whose experience could prove valuable within the squad.
