Fatima Oloko has announced her departure from Abia Angels, bringing an emotional end to her time with the club.
In a heartfelt farewell message, Oloko expressed her gratitude to the club for playing an important role in her development, while acknowledging the difficulty of leaving after building something special together.
“Leaving isn’t easy when you’ve built something this special. To my club, thank you for shaping me, pushing me, and making me better,” Oloko said.
The goalkeeper stressed that her departure should not be viewed as a permanent goodbye, adding that she hopes to reunite with the club in the future.
She emerged as best goalkeeper at the end of 2025/26 NWFL Premiership season earning a place in Nigeria’s senior women’s national team squad for WAFCON 2026.
“This isn’t goodbye forever — it’s ‘see you later.’ Go do great things. I’m proud of us,” she added.
Oloko’s exit marks the end of a chapter with Abia Angels, as she looks ahead to a new challenge in her football career.

Since February 2018, Samuel has been the Social Media Manager for Nigeria's women's national teams.
In 2019, Samuel joined the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a women's football content contributor and was promoted to Women's Football Editor in 2021. His contributions to women's football continued as he worked as a Media Consultant for Content Creation and Editorials at the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League. Currently, Samuel also serves as the spokesman for the Nigeria Women Football League, further solidifying his influence and dedication to the growth of women's football in Africa.
