Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo appoints Sports Commission board members

A few weeks after his swearing-in as the executive governor of Edo State, Governor Monday Okpebholo has swung into action with the appointment of Amandine Desmond Enabulele as the chairman of the state sports commission.
The appointment of Enabulele was made by the state’s first citizen this Tuesday subject to confirmation of the state House of Assembly.
Mrs. Sabina Chikere was appointed to the state Sports Commission board as Director General, Hon Frank Ilaboya as Edo North representative, Barrister Anthony Odianosen Ikuenobe as Edo Central representative, and Baldwin Bazuaye as Edo South representative in the board.
The two state-owned clubs, Bendel Insurance and Edo Queens, have congratulated the new board of the Edo State Sports Commission.
The clubs’ management assured the newly appointed chairman of the commission Enabulele of their unwavering loyalty and support.
Edo State is among few states with teams playing in the men’s and women’s football top flight.
Edo Queens is the current NWFL Premiership league and West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) winner.
Bendel Insurance on the other hands previously won the President Federation Cup (FA Cup).
