EPL: Alex Iwobi calls on Fulham to move on from defeat to Wolves

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has urged his Fulham teammates to put their disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Wolves behind them and focus on the challenges ahead.

The Cottagers were left frustrated on Sunday as they surrendered an early lead, with Wolves turning the game around to secure a comprehensive win.

Iwobi netted Fulham’s only goal in the encounter, but his efforts were not enough to prevent the defeat.

Speaking after the match, Iwobi expressed his disappointment with the result but emphasized the need for his side to stay positive and move forward.

“That’s how quickly goals can change a game and give the opposition confidence,” the 27-year-old said.

“Even though they scored, we need to maintain composure and stay calm, no matter what. We struggled to dominate the game like we did earlier, so credit to them. But we’ll focus on ourselves and work on improving.”

Looking ahead, Fulham will face a tough test on Sunday when they travel across London to take on Tottenham Hotspur in their next Premier League fixture.

With a determination to bounce back, Iwobi and his teammates are determined to build on lessons learned from the Wolves defeat.
