Eugene Agagbe, the Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars, has revealed that the team’s strategy of squad rotation is aimed at ensuring all players are fit and prepared for upcoming challenges.
Agagbe shared this insight over the weekend following Lobi Stars’ triumph in the Benue State FA Cup, where they secured a 2-1 victory over Flight FC in the final.
As the team prepares to continue their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a match against Sporting Lagos in Lagos on Wednesday, Agagbe emphasized the importance of rotating players to maintain fitness levels and provide opportunities for all squad members to showcase their talents.
“The players’ rotation in the state Federation Cup was an opportunity to allow the other lads to showcase their talents and also improve their fitness which will be useful going back to the league,” Agagbe explained to the club’s media.
He believes that this strategy will provide an added advantage to the team as they strive to compete for the NPFL title.
The Matchday 28 fixture between Sporting Lagos and Lobi Stars is scheduled to take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan in Lagos.
