France name full coaching and medical staff for Zinedine Zidane’s national team

The French Football Federation has officially announced the complete coaching and support structure for the France senior men’s team, which will be led by Zinedine Zidane.

The full staff is due to be presented at the beginning of September, with the final structure including a liaison officer. That role will be filled under a secondment agreement between the French Football Federation and the Ministry of the Interior, according to Foot Mercato.

Zidane will head the football operation as head coach, supported by David Bettoni and Hamidou Msaidie as assistant coaches. Former France goalkeeper Fabien Barthez has been appointed goalkeeper coach, while Gregory Dupont will work as a strategy and performance adviser.

The technical team also includes Stephane Blanc as a technical scout. Fred Tabet will combine the roles of assistant coach and video data analyst, with Clement Ebert appointed as an assistant video analyst.

The medical department will be led by Dr Herve Collado. He will be joined by physiotherapists Maxime Maton, Paul Olive, Nadjib Remita and Pierre-Yves Freudiger.

Philippe Boixel has been appointed as the team’s osteopath, while Marc Ritaly will serve as podiatrist.

Zidane has brought in several members of the team who worked with him during his time at Real Madrid. Among the most prominent are Bettoni, Msaidie and Dupont, who are now set to form part of his staff with the France national team.

The announcement confirms the structure that will support Zidane in charge of the senior side, with responsibilities divided across coaching, performance analysis, scouting and medical care. The federation is expected to introduce all members of the staff together when the presentation takes place at the start of September.
