“I won’t rest” — Obi Mikel vows to secure Victor Osimhen’s move to Chelsea

Former Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has emphatically stated that Victor Osimhen must join Chelsea, despite the complications surrounding his transfer on deadline day.
Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea appeared imminent as the Blues sought to secure him on a loan deal with a reduced wage package.
However, negotiations broke down over wage terms, and the reigning African Player of the Year ultimately signed a season-long loan with Turkish club Galatasaray, following his exclusion from Napoli’s squad in favor of Romelu Lukaku.
Mikel Obi is adamant that Chelsea will revisit the deal and is committed to making it happen.
“The club is in a great place with Victor, and Victor is happy with the club. I’m not going to rest until this deal is finalized,” Mikel said on his ObiOne Podcast.
“I want to ensure that he joins Chelsea, not just because he’s a friend, a younger brother, or Nigerian, but because he is one of the best strikers in the world. He’s Africa’s best player.”
He added, “I know the impact Victor can have on the team, and I’m sure many Chelsea fans recognize his potential as well. I’m not merely doing him a favor; I’m dedicated to making sure he contributes to the club’s success.”
While the specifics of when and how the deal will be completed remain unclear, Mikel Obi’s determination to secure Osimhen’s move to Stamford Bridge is evident.
