Joel Yakubu: Another Mahanaim FC prodigy joins Czech side Slovan Liberec

48 hours after announcing the transfer of Yahaya Lawali to MFK Karvina, Mahanaim FC has confirmed the sale of 18-year-old Joel Yakubu to Slovan Liberec.

The young midfielder, known for his speed and skills, signed a three-year deal with the Czech Super Liga side following a successful medical examination.

Yakubu, nicknamed “Spirit,” made a significant impact during his time with Mahanaim, contributing with numerous goals and assists that caught the attention of Slovan Liberec.

The Abuja-based club expressed its satisfaction with the transfer, recounting Yakubu’s impressive development.

“We are thrilled for Joel and the opportunity he has to showcase his talent on a larger stage,” Mahanaim FC stated.

“We wish him the best of luck with the Modrobílí.”
