John Lazarus returns to boost Lobi Stars ahead of Enugu Rangers showdown
Lobi Stars’ preparations for their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash against Enugu Rangers have received a significant boost with the return of defender John Lazarus from suspension.
Lazarus, an experienced player for the Yes Father Boys, had been sidelined since Matchday 21 after receiving a red card in a match against Sunshine Stars.
His absence has been keenly felt, but his return provides a timely reinforcement for Lobi Stars as they aim to secure a positive result against Enugu Rangers.
The former Nigeria youth international was required to serve a three-match ban, but now, with the suspension period completed, Lazarus is set to rejoin the squad for the crucial encounter.
Agagbe expressed optimism about Lazarus’ return, emphasizing the player’s talent and leadership qualities as he believes that Lazarus’ presence will not only bolster the team’s defensive solidity but also provide valuable guidance to the younger players.
With Lazarus back in contention, Lobi Stars are approaching the match against Enugu Rangers with renewed confidence.
Currently leading the NPFL standings with 46 points from 25 games, Lobi Stars are determined to extend their lead at the top.
Meanwhile, Enugu Rangers, positioned third with 42 points from the same number of matches, are expected to provide stiff competition in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
