Nigeria international Moses Simon has been recognized by Ligue 1 for achieving a significant milestone with Nantes.

The Super Eagles winger marked his 150th appearance in the league while contributing to his team’s lone goal in their 1-1 draw against Angers.

Since joining Nantes from Levante in 2019, the 29-year-old has been a key player, earning the title of Nantes Player of the Month for August after scoring in consecutive games.

Over his Ligue 1 career at Nantes, Simon has netted 27 goals and provided 29 assists, surpassing Emiliano Sala’s record to become the leading contributor for Les Canaris.

With two goals and two assists this season, Simon currently stands as Nantes’ top scorer in Ligue 1.

The official Ligue 1 account on X (formerly Twitter) celebrated his achievement with the caption, “Indispensable Moses Simon.”

Among Nigerian players, Simon ranks fifth for most appearances in Ligue 1, trailing only Victor Ikpeba (170), Taye Taiwo (191), Wilson Oruma (196), and John Utaka (239).
