Nigerian midfielder Jordan Pereke joins CD Azuaga on free transfer
Nigerian central midfielder Jordan Pereke has joined Spanish club CD Azuaga from AD Ceuta B on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old completed the move on 3 September 2026 and has agreed a contract with Azuaga running until 30 June 2027.
Pereke, who was born in Lagos, spent the previous season with AD Ceuta B after joining the club from Oviedo Vetusta in July 2025, also on a free transfer. His arrival at Azuaga brings another change of club in Spain, where he has spent his senior career.
The right-footed midfielder has made 14 appearances and scored twice in the Promocion a Segunda Federacion. He also recorded five appearances in Segunda Federacion Group I, giving him experience across two levels of the Spanish football pyramid.
Standing 1.86m tall, Pereke’s listed position is central midfield. He began his development with Oviedo’s under-19 side before moving into the club’s reserve team in July 2022. He subsequently had loan spells with L’Entregu CF and CD Mosconia, returning to Oviedo Vetusta at the end of each temporary move.
Pereke’s first recorded senior loan came at L’Entregu CF in August 2022. He returned there again in February 2024, before spending the first half of 2025 with CD Mosconia. The midfielder then moved away from Oviedo on a permanent basis when he joined AD Ceuta B.
His move to Azuaga is the latest step in a Spanish career that has included football in regional and national competition. The new agreement gives him the opportunity to continue that progression with his latest club through the 2026-27 campaign.
Pereke has now switched from AD Ceuta B to CD Azuaga as a free agent, with his new contract expiring on 30 June 2027.
