Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, the Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, has rallied his players to aim for victory in their upcoming Matchday 28 clash against Kwara United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Wednesday.

The Oluyole Warriors are set to host their counterparts from Ilorin at the Adamasigba Stadium in Ibadan as league action resumes following their participation in the FA Cup state finals.

Addressing the team and officials after their training session on Monday, Mr. Akoro stressed the significance of securing a win in the match and dedicating it to the loyal fans who have stood by the club.

Reflecting on their recent setback in Kaduna, Akoro urged the players to bounce back strongly, emphasizing that a victory over Kwara United could have propelled them into the top four of the league standings.

He expressed confidence in the team’s ability to deliver a convincing performance, stating, “On Wednesday, I want you to pacify the fans with a comprehensive win over Kwara United, and I know you can do it.” He further emphasized the importance of earning maximum points at home to realize the team’s season objectives.

While acknowledging the competitive nature of the league title race, Akoro assured the players of the management’s unwavering support and commitment to their welfare.

As quoted by the club’s media, Akoro concluded, “I must tell you, no team can yet lay claim to the league title. The race is still open, and when you look at the point difference, you will agree with me that it is still wide open.”
