Abia Warriors president, John Obuh, has expressed confidence that his team can secure a crucial victory against local rivals Enyimba FC in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 12 clash.

The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Umuahia Township Stadium, where the Warriors will look to capitalize on their home advantage.

Obuh believes that the current squad has the talent and drive to deliver a positive result, especially with the motivation of facing their highly competitive rivals.

He pointed to the strong mindset and determination shown by the players in recent weeks, adding that their commitment to the team could provide the extra edge needed to outshine Enyimba.

“I’m hopeful the players will deliver,” Obuh told Complete Sports. “From what I’ve seen and what they’ve told the coach, Imama Amapakabo, I have no reason not to be optimistic.

If they play for the club and their coach, Imama, as they’ve promised, I believe we’ll get the result we deserve.”

Abia Warriors will be eager to pick up points in this high-stakes encounter, not only for local bragging rights but also to continue their push for a strong finish in the NPFL standings.

The match promises to be an exciting and intense derby, as both sides will be looking to assert their dominance in this crucial fixture.

With Obuh’s encouragement and the players’ desire to succeed, Abia Warriors will be hoping to rise to the occasion and secure an important victory against Enyimba in this eagerly anticipated matchup.
