NPFL: Kabiru Dogo hails Kwara United players for ‘vital point’ at Akwa United

Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Kabir Dogo has commended his players for their spirited display in the 1-1 draw against Akwa Untied in the Nigeria Premier Football League encounter in Eket on Saturday.
Uche Collins converted a first half penalty to hand Akwa the lead after Abbey Benson stopped a pass with him hand in Kwara United box before Yusuf Sadeeq restored parity for the visitors before half time.
The Kwara boys held on to grind out a point as they continue with their brilliant spells of four games without defeat and elated Dogo admitted that the result was a reward and testament to the team’s renewed effort to get better.
“I congratulate my team for this result, it wasn’t an easy task and this is a vital point for us,” the manager told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“I give kudos to my goalkeeper and Sadeeq, they were outstanding today and also showed they know the terrain and the team which helped a lot to keep us in the game and gave us the point.”
Dogo attributed the team’s turn around of success to patience as its a team with bright future just as he asked for more support to achieve more greatness.
“It’s all about patience, its a new team, different from what we had last season, we are trying to build the team with young players with experience ones within,” he continued.
“I can only ask the fans to keep the faith in the team and be patient, we want them to keep believing in the team and never stop supporting us.”
Up next for Kwara United is a clash against top of the table Doma United in Ilorin.
