NPFL: Kwara United’s Moses Nyebe faces 12-week layoff with tibia fracture
By Wale Mustapha
Kwara United striker Moses Nyebe has been sidelined for approximately 12 weeks after suffering a fractured right tibia during a training session on Monday.
The setback comes as the Harmony Boys intensify preparations for their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Four fixture against Warri Wolves this Sunday.
In an official statement, the club expressed disappointment over the injury blow while wishing Nyebe a swift and full recovery.
Medical examinations have already been conducted, and the forward has begun the first phase of treatment to aid his rehabilitation.
Nyebe’s absence represents a major setback for coach Tunde Sanni, whose side faces a crucial run of fixtures in both domestic and continental competitions.
Beyond the league assignment against Warri Wolves, Kwara United are set to battle Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko next month in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The injury leaves the Harmony Boys with a significant gap in their attacking options as they look to balance NPFL commitments with the rigors of continental football.
