Reigning Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Enugu Rangers, have hailed their star defender, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, following his inclusion in the Super Eagles’ 39-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Onyebuchi’s call-up marks a significant milestone in his career, as he becomes one of four NPFL players named to the squad, alongside Kano Pillars’ Ahmed Musa, Kayode Bankole of Remo Stars, and Niger Tornadoes’ Papa Daniel Mustapha.

Rangers are confident that Onyebuchi, who played a crucial role in their NPFL title victory last season, will rise to the occasion and make an impact at the international level.

“From thrilling the NPFL with Rangers International to earning a Super Eagles call-up, BUCHI is set to shine on the big stage. Congratulations, champ,” Rangers wrote on X.

The club expressed their pride in Onyebuchi’s achievements, wishing him success as he takes on the challenge of representing Nigeria on the world stage.
