Osimhen ‘snapped at staff’ after false reports about partner’s accident

Victor Osimhen became increasingly frustrated after reports about his partner’s road accident in Istanbul, Turkey, according to Turkish football pundit Ali Naci Kucuk.
Stefanie Kim Ladewig was reportedly involved in a three-vehicle collision in recent weeks, prompting concern for both her welfare and that of her unborn child.
Kucuk, quoted by Le Marca Sports, said Galatasaray striker Osimhen had reacted strongly because he wanted his family life kept away from public attention.
“Victor Osimhen doesn’t want any news to be made about his family. He doesn’t like his family being talked about, so he’s even snapped at his own staff quite a bit,” Kucuk said.
The Turkish journalist also rejected claims that Osimhen’s pregnant partner had lost her baby as a result of the accident. He said the false reports had added to the Nigeria international’s tension.
“The accident story had come out from the courthouse reporters,” Kucuk said.
“The reason I’m giving details; false news stories that would upset Osimhen were being thrown around, there were claims that his pregnant wife had lost the baby. This wasn’t true,” he added.
Kucuk said the accident happened on the same day Galatasaray played Genclerbirligi, meaning Osimhen’s decision to travel to Ankara for the fixture had come amid difficult circumstances for his family.
“The accident had happened on the day of the Genclerbirligi match. Just being in Ankara that day was a huge sacrifice on his part. That’s why he was a bit tense,” he said.
Osimhen has made an impressive start to the campaign and will now aim to continue producing strong performances for Galatasaray as the Turkish champions pursue success in domestic and European competition.
